Founded by Naheed and Wasim Ahmad, Teaching International was born from a shared passion for education and cultural exchange.
With over two decades of international experience spanning three continents, Naheed and Wasim understand firsthand the transformative power of teaching abroad.
Born and raised in the UK, with Pakistani heritage, Naheed experienced the richness of bridging different cultures from an early age.
Her multicultural background gave her unique insights into the power of global education and cultural understanding. She took the bold step to move to Texas, USA, where she lived for over 20 years before returning to England.
"Having experienced both the British and American education systems, I understand why teachers from these countries are an asset to international institutions. They are the most familiar with the prescribed curriculums at these schools and I believe that teaching abroad can transform not just their careers, but their lives."
Born and raised in Pakistan before relocating to Texas and then to the UK, Wasim brings a deep understanding of both Eastern and Western educational philosophies.
"Education transcends borders. Having lived and worked across multiple countries, I've seen how teaching abroad opens minds, builds confidence, and creates lasting impact – both for teachers and their students."
After 20 years in Texas, Naheed and Wasim recognised a crucial gap in the international teaching recruitment sector. They saw the need for a more personalised, understanding approach to helping teachers make the life-changing decision to teach abroad.
Their combined experience allows them to:
Understand the concerns of teachers considering international moves
Navigate cultural transitions seamlessly
Provide authentic insights into expatriate life
Support teachers throughout their journey
Build lasting relationships with premier schools
Teaching International exists to create meaningful connections between exceptional educators and outstanding schools in the Middle East.
We believe that when teachers step out of their comfort zones, they not only enhance their careers but also become cultural ambassadors who inspire the next generation of global citizens.
Having experienced the transformative power of international education themselves, Naheed and Wasim are passionate about the unique opportunities the Middle East offers teachers:
Professional growth in world-class facilities
Cultural immersion in a rapidly evolving region
Exceptional work-life balance
Strong earning and saving potential
Strategic location for global travel
Vibrant expatriate communities
"We're not just another recruitment agency," says Naheed.
"Every teacher we work with becomes part of our extended family. We understand the questions, the concerns, and the excitement because we've lived that journey ourselves. From the initial application to settling into your new home, we're with you every step of the way."
Today, Teaching International continues to grow, guided by Naheed and Wasim's commitment to excellence and personal service. Their vision is to create a global community of educators who share their passion for international education and cultural exchange.
Wasim believes teaching abroad is more than just a career move – "it's a life-changing journey that creates lasting impact across generations and cultures."
